Are you a qualified greenkeeper or currently working and studying through your apprenticeship to become a turf tradesperson and looking for an exciting new change? We have an opportunity for you to further grow your skills within a highly experienced team, working in a fast-paced environment.

Royal Perth Golf Club is a prestigious institution with rich history and commitment to maintaining a world class golf course. We are well into stage 1 of our 3-year course redevelopment plan which is already seeing our course being restored to one of Australia’s leading golf courses.

Overview

As a valued team member, you will work in a dedicated crew committed to maintaining our high standard of course presentation. From daily maintenance tasks to major construction projects, contributing to ensuring that our members and guests receive a premium memorable experience.

Key Responsibilities 

• Perform routine turf maintenance tasks such as mowing, bunker maintenance, course setup, fertility/pesticide applications and irrigation repairs.
• Implement integrated pest management strategies to safeguard turf health and vitality.
• Assist in course renovations, irrigation system diagnostics and repairs.
• Monitor and report course conditions as well as making recommendations for continuous improvements.

Requirements

• Uphold Environmental Health and Safety standards throughout all operations.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong commitment to excellence, attention to detail and a passion for sports turf management.
• Flexible to work weekends on a rotating roster.
• Valid Class C drivers’ licence.

Qualifications & Experience

• Certificate III in sports Turf Management or working towards obtaining your qualification.
• Proven experience working with sports turf and a stable work history in the sports turf management fields.
