What You’d Be Doing In This Role 

An exciting opportunity exists for an exceptional administrator to join our team at Golf NSW. This role will provide administrative support at Golf Events across NSW/ACT and involves extensive liaison with Host Clubs.

At The Moment, This Role Is Focused On working as part of the Golf Department, you will organize some events from start to finish, while providing administrative support in the department. Although not essential, knowledge of the structure of golf and Golf NSW events would be advantageous.

You’re probably a match if; You’re self-motivated, exceptionally well-organized, and have a positive can-do attitude. You must be able to manage multiple events at all times.

In-house programs such as Tournament Software, database, and website content management systems will all be used as part of this role. You must be highly competent in Microsoft Office and a fast learner to learn the internal software programs.

Who we are

Golf NSW is responsible for promoting, encouraging and advancing the game of golf at all levels throughout NSW/ACT. This is done partly through organizing Championships and events, encouraging and developing Rules Officials, coaching and developing elite and non-elite golfers.

Where And How You Can Work

The Golf NSW offices are in multiple locations and the successful applicant can select which office they wish to work from. Standard office hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am – 4.30pm, however some out of hours and weekend work is required.

Days in lieu – the role will include weekend work, which staff are provided days in lieu of.

Selection criteria – Essential

  • Previous event administration experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, and ability to learn internal programs
  • Ability to work autonomously, as well as part of a team
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise workloads
  • Outgoing and well spoken
  • Current driver’s license
  • The successful applicant is required to possess a valid ‘working with children’ check.

Selection criteria – Desirable

  • Knowledge of the game of golf
  • Knowledge of the structure of Golf NSW events
  • Qualifications in Sports Administration, Office Administration, Event Management or similar
  • Experience working with and managing volunteers.

Please note that all interviews are conducted virtually.
