Maleny Golf Club is a unique and picturesque 18-hole golfing destination nestled in the beautiful Sunshine Coast hinterland. The club has experienced considerable growth over the past few years and is seeking an experienced golf/retail/hospitality manager to help guide the Club’s through its next phase of development.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Golf Manager will manage all facets of the Club’s golf operations, including competition and timesheets, group bookings, golf events, retail, staff, cart fleet, customer satisfaction and stakeholder relationship management.
Ideally the successful candidate will possess relevant qualifications and experience as a sports, retail, or hospitality manager – with a keen interest in and/or understanding of golf.
Experience with the MiClub booking and competition systems and Club POS is also highly desirable, along with people skills and a willingness to learn – and adapt to change.

Experience & Qualifications
- Relevant qualifications and experience as a Golf Manager or similar role.
- Experience with the MiClub booking and competition systems and Golf POS is desirable.
- Advanced computer skills and the ability to learn and operate new systems.
- Demonstrated expertise in retail/hospitality and purchasing management, customer service, cash management, stock control, budgeting, people management, equipment management, and profit delivery.
- An understanding of golf requirements, rules, and the Golf Australia handicapping system, coupled with experience in competition and event management.
- Ability to work effectively as both a team member and autonomously.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and information.
- High level business professionalism.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to provide a professional approach.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with limited supervision, manage time effectively, exercise initiative and set priorities to work within required timelines.
- Demonstrated positive / ‘can do’ attitude
- PGA Membership is desirable but not essential. Some teaching opportunities may be available but are not integral to the position.
Mandatory requirements (held or seeking) for this position:
- Current QLD Working with Children Blue Card
- Current QLD Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate
- First Aid Certificate
