The Company

Golf Services Management, has been engaged to manage the Hidden Valley Resort on behalf of Arcadia Group (Owner) have an exciting opportunity to join the team in Wallan.

Set within acres of rolling hills and picturesque countryside, Hidden Valley Resort boasts a beautiful Clubhouse which features state of the art facilities including The Grove Bar & Bistro, an 18 hole Championship Golf Course and practice facilities, fully equipped gym, fitness classes, 20m indoor heated pool, tennis and pickleball courts, bowling green and multiple short term stay apartments.

The Role:

As the Operational Supervisor, you will assist the GSM General Manager by supervising the operational staff in the front office and the sports hub as well as working in both areas of the business. Most importantly you will lead by example with a high level of customer service to members, guest and house guests.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Overssea staff in the Sports Hub and other activities (Does not include Food & Beverage)
  • Provide exceptional customer service skills and the ability to generate good rapport with customers;
  • Manage the staff roster;
  • Log and follow up venue maintenance requests;
  • Operate point of sale, golf booking and accommodation booking platforms.
  • Audit Leisure facilities to ensure compliance;
  • Daily tee time coordination;
  • Maintain a well presented retail shop;
  • Assist with Short Stay unit preparation;
  • Completion and training of daily task;

About You:

Experience within a similar role will be highly regarded but training will be provided.  You will have:

  • Previous staff management experience
  • Basic understanding and knowledge of golf;
  • Basic understanding of short term accommodation bookings;
  • Reliable and punctual and be able to work part weekends and other peak periods
  • Strong verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide quality service to a diverse range of staff and customers;
  • Proactive and energetic nature;
  • Ability to work within a small team;

The applicable award for this position is the Registered Club Award and remuneration will depend on experience.
