The Royal Sydney Golf Club, a private members club, is fortunate to be considered one of Australia’s most prominent social and sporting institutions, having proudly hosted a number of world class sporting events including the Australian Open on 15 occasions and the 2011 Davis Cup. It is recognised nationally and internationally for its world class sporting facilities which include two golf courses, 18 tennis courts, bowling greens, croquet lawns, squash courts, snooker tables, a gym, swimming pools, cafes, club bar, a dining room, 18 accommodation rooms and multiple function rooms.
The Role:
A great opportunity exists for a Kitchen Attendant to join our Kitchen team. You will report directly to the Executive Chef and be responsible for maintaining a high level of cleanliness and hygiene in our Kitchen areas.
This is a casual role offering 20-30 hours per week requiring flexible availability to work shifts during the week and on weekends ranging between 9am starts to 11pm finishes.
Key tasks include:
- Operation of an Industrial Dishwasher
- Cleaning & washing up responsibilities
- Manual Handling
- Correct application of chemicals for cleaning purposes
- Supporting the Chefs with food preparation and general kitchen duties
- Compliance with Food Safety
What does the Club need from me?
- Previous experience in a Kitchen environment
- Understanding of Health, Safety & Environment and Food Hygiene procedures
- Flexibility to work across a variety of shifts throughout the week and weekend
- Good communication skills
- Demonstrated experience working in a team environment
- Prior experience working in a high volume environment
- Be self motivated and energetic
- Evening availability is a requirement for this role between 9am – 11pm

- Uniforms provided plus a uniform allowance of $3.62 per shift
- The position pays $33.39 per hour plus penalty rates on weekends.
