Woodlands Golf Club, situated on the Melbourne Sandbelt, is searching for an ambitious golf industry professional looking to join a progressive leadership team.

The Club is looking for a dedicated professional who is charismatic, has excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail and is prepared to support a dynamic and highly motivated team to deliver the highest level of service to its member and guests.

The Assistant Director of Golf will play a front-facing role, drive a positive team culture and be a key figure within the Club.

The successful applicant will ideally possess the following:

  • Experience in a similar role within the golf industry.
  • PGA Qualification preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of golf operations, event coordination and golf retail.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in golf shop operations and merchandising.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Experience working in a private golf club delivering high-level customer service.

Some key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

  • Assist in the management of all golf operations, including the pro shop, practice facilities, and course.
  • Supervise and train golf staff to ensure exceptional service and professionalism.
  • Plan and coordinate golf events, including assisting with the annual club syllabus.
  • Manage inventory, including ordering and maintaining golf merchandise.
  • Maintain a positive and productive work environment for the golf staff.
  • Handle member and guest enquiries and resolve any issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Assist in budgeting and financial management of the golf department.
  • Ensure compliance with all club policies and procedures.
  • Administering and successfully executing all golf events.
